Google Gemini: The Afterparty Directed by: Nick & Charles @ Mssngpeces Google wanted a fresh, engaging way to celebrate the launch of the Pixel 9 and its AI powerhouse, Gemini. So… we threw the ultimate afterparty. Right after the Made by Google keynote, we created a 30-min live to tape show featuring a VIP lineup of celebrities and influencers all getting hands on with the newest Google tech inside our custom-built Google party space. Think high-end nightclub meets tech playground: neon lights, a DJ spinning, a glowing minibar, a VIP lounge, and a massive mirrorball G hovering overhead. The vibe? Electric. The goal? Let viewers in on the party and the future.

Squid Games: The Trails Director: Sermad Buni @ Superfly I had the pleasure of designing the look, feel, and flow for Netflix’s Squid Game: The Trials a massive 30,000 sq. ft. live experience that drops players into the dark, high-stakes world of the show. If you’ve seen Squid Game, you know it’s more than just layered it’s a psychological maze wrapped in tension, color, and dread. A designer’s dream. I got to dive deep into night markets, bars, retail spaces, and yes… plenty of eerie, deathy stuff. We built multi-layered environments rich with texture and storytelling graphics stacked on graphics, shifting surfaces, and lighting that plays tricks on your brain. It’s the kind of place where you feel thrilled... and like you might get eliminated at any moment. For me, it was about crafting a fully immersive journey bending space, emotion, and design to keep players locked in and just slightly on edge.

That’s right it’s like architectural nesting dolls, but with more hot sauce. designed this 1,500 sq. ft. modern marvel on a 5,000 sq. ft. lot complete with a golf course, a Taco Bell walk up window in the backyard, and yes… another Taco Bell (because one’s never enough). Inside? Fireplace, memorabilia room, HUGE TV, walk-in closet you could get lost in and did I mention the Taco Bell? Welcome to L.A., Davante your commute home just got legendary

Charmin: CES Labs Design Lead: Ron Beach @ Unit9 I worked with the Charmin GoLab and Unit 9 to create three prototype products and debuted them at CES 2020: RollBot, a first-of its-kind Bluetooth-enabled robot that will bring you a fresh roll of Charmin with the press of a smartphone button; SmellSense, an electronic sensor monitoring system that checks the stench of a bathroom and alerts you when it’s safe (or not safe) to enter; and V.I.Pee, a unique viewing experience that uses Oculus Rift S VR technology to make sure you don’t miss a minute of a concert when you have to use the bathroom. All three futuristic products are meant to be humorous, but they’re still based on very real consumer needs and insights. There’s no denying that they solve common bathroom annoyances and make life easier.

State Farm: Giant James Harden Head Creative Lead: Ron Beach Jr @ B&A State Farm went big for NBA All-Star Weekend like 15 foot tall James Harden head big. I had the chance to bring it to life: a giant 3D replica of Harden’s head, installed right on the Santa Monica Pier. Fans stepped inside (yep, inside his head) to play an interactive game by Joshua Davis, helping clear out all the distractions so his agent, Cole Perez (played by Oscar Nuñez), could get him mentally ready for the big game. Part surreal art, part immersive experience, all part of State Farm and Translation’s "Get an Agent That Gets You" campaign. Weird, unforgettable, and absolutely a career highlight.

Arguably one of the greatest tetralogies of all time, and I had the rare privilege of dragging its world off the screen and into reality. For Chapters 3 and 4, we built full-scale immersive events across multiple cities that dropped fans straight into Wick’s underworld. These weren’t simple activations they were high stakes operations with a thousand moving parts. Our team orchestrated everything with ruthless precision: interactive fight-ready stations, live performances pulled from the heart of the franchise, and environments so true to the films that guests swore they were walking through the Continental’s doors. We didn’t just honor the Wick universe. We weaponized it, turned it into an experience you could breathe, touch, and survive.

I had the honor of bringing this entire experience to life, from designing the environment and lighting to building all the games from scratch. We packed it with, slot car racing, skeeball, claw machines, earthquake simulators, mini golf… and so much more. At the end of the day, jobs are jobs but this one let me be a kid again while creating joy for thousands of others. I’m so proud of what we built, and I seriously can’t wait to do it all again.

The result? A profound connection to the brand, a fresh perspective on what Canon can do, and an experience that lingered long after CES. By fusing story and technology, we turned spectators into active participants, proving that Canon doesn’t just follow the future, we shape it.

To honor that energy, we built her a monument, a 30' tall by 40' wide suspended chessboard that dominates the space inside Union Station. The board looms above her, dramatic and defiant, as she plots her next move. It’s a tribute not just to Beth, but to every woman who’s ever played the long game, outsmarted the system, and made her own rules.

Chili’s: Fast Food Financing Director: Mike Woods @ Mssngpeces To serve up a spicy take on rising fast food prices, we turned an empty Union Square storefront into a fully decked out payday loan shop neon signs, balloons, digital boards, and yes, sign spinners. Inside, guests met our “branch manager,” filled out cheeky loan apps, and got “approved” for Chili’s gift cards. The space had it all: loan counters, cardboard cutouts, classic infomercials on loop, and a carpet covered in dollar bills. Because if you’re gonna make a statement, make it loud and weirdly official.

Lo-fi. Legendary. Iconic. Still one of my all time favorite projects.

Call of Duty: Vanguard World Premiere We transformed the Belasco Theater in Downtown LA into the ultimate Call of Duty: Vanguard experience. From the red carpet to a star-studded show featuring T-Pain, CouRageJD, a live orchestra led by Joey Newman, Big Boi, Big Sean, Lil Tecca, Lil Jon, Lil Huddy, and a surprise set by MIGOS, this was next level. Inside, the action never stopped: tanks, tunnels, photo ops, live gameplay, a 30" LED stage set, and nonstop performances created a full 360° immersive experience. Every detail pulled attendees straight into the heart pounding world of Vanguard.

STARZ/American Gods SXSW: Seven immersive installations, each pulling fans deeper into the world of American Gods. Experiential rooms, interactive elements, wall to wall LEDs, holograms, a neon-controlled board, and even a custom Zoltar style fortune teller with an animatronic spider, every detail brought the world to life. Reverse-engineering all this tech into an existing venue was no small feat, but our team nailed it. The result: a multi sensory experience that wowed fans and the cast alike. Over 2,000 visitors in three days, two and a half hour cast explorations, and nearly 1.2 million social impressions, a truly divine activation.
